Primary Responsibilities:


The jobholder is expected to lead the effort to achieve and exceed all established regional objectives for the UAS product line. 


  • Take complete ownership of the performance of the UAS portfolio, ensuring regional business development objectives are met and surpassed.
  • Drive the commercial strategy for UAS in the defined territory, ensuring alignment with global business goals.
  • Responsible for the development and follow-up of UAS sales campaigns, working closely with Key Account Managers (KAMs) within the APAC countries to ensure successful execution.
  • Drive accountability by tracking performance and key metrics, synthesizing data into detailed progress reports for the Regional Management Team review
  • Ensure Salesforce is used as a lever and to ensure accurate and timely information regarding UAS opportunities and activities.
  • Coordinate UAS Offer development (simple and complex) and lead pitch to potential customers
  • Develop and/or identify current and emerging markets 
  • Support local KAM teams for UAS opportunities as required
  • Maintain alignment within broader UAS Team to ensure shared efficiencies
  • Engage with supporting functions to facilitate UAS activities (offers, communication, partnering and marketing) 
  • Provide and maintain expertise in UAS knowledge
  • Support Operational Marketing as APAC UAS Promoters.
  • Develop a comprehensive network of UAS operators, potential partners (including those for training and maintenance of our UAS systems), and key stakeholders throughout the region.


Market Positioning and Campaign Coordination 


  • Coordinate and support regional marketing and communication efforts to strategically position Airbus Helicopters portfolio. Remain abreast of competition movement
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns (including demos/demonstrations) and promotional activities across the region in full alignment with the Regional Communications and Marketing and central UAS team.
  • Prepare and Present briefings for both Internal and External stakeholders


Business Intelligence and Planning


  • Contribute to gathering and analyzing intelligence on UAS market dynamics, trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions.
  • OP Planning: Contribute to feed the Operational Planning (OP) process for both UAS and Crewed / Uncrewed Teaming (CuC-T) product lines.
  • Other duties reasonably determined from time to time by the Company


Secondary Responsibilities:


  • Assist in development of Regional Communications and Marketing plan
  • Assist local KAM teams to develop and promote UAS
  • Provide input into UAS product evolution and development 
  • Liaise with other Airbus entities where UAS portfolio overlaps


Outputs:


  • Identification of UAS Leads and Opportunities
  • Development and formalisation of UAS Capture Strategies
  • Lead effort to Capture and close UAS Opportunities
  • Achieve OP targets related to UAS
  • Deliver Offers on time and on quality
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on status of UAS Opportunities 


Requirements:


  • Tertiary education in Aviation, Engineering, Business Administration or related field 
  • More than 8 years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles, preferably within the aerospace, defense, or unmanned systems industry and/or Several years of experience in drone operations ideally in a government agency or in the military.
  • Strong understanding of the UAS/Drone market, technologies, and regulatory environment
  • Strong leadership skills to work in a matrix organization and to onboard an operational team in a complex and dynamic, multi-cultural environment
  • Proven ability to lead and manage projects effectively within a highly matrixed environment, spanning multiple functions and cross countries 
  • The ability to build a sound business case, understand pricing strategies, and negotiate complex, multi-year contracts involving service, support, and training.
